The Production

Deus Ex Machina Productions’ 2023 staging of The Book Thief played Belgrade Theatre, Coventry, before transferring to Curve, Leicester. The new musical adaptation of Markus Zusak’s novel frames Liesel Meminger’s story of books, language and resistance in Nazi Germany through the narration of Death.
